  the new update just came down the pipe.

  it's really cool cuz now i have access to the iphone apps store and i can download free and not so free apps for my iphone.

  the app i like the best is aol radio, i can now listen to a couple of stations that i miss not living in the sf bay area.

  a few weeks ago, there was a thread started on jw funeral talks and how horrible they are, but what about those wedding talks?.

  talks that has nothing to do with the couple itself, but an advertisement about how wonderful marriage in jehovahs organization is.

  *eye roll * the worst is when they have to bring up sex in the marriage in a wedding talk *barf*.

  I knew a few people who got married outside the hall for the very reason they wanted to invite whoever they liked. Going to outside weddings has always been much funner then JW weddings especially the receptions.

  under copyright law, any song can be legally covered, as long as the proper fee is paid.

  so that means i could release versions of kingdom songs?

  I believe one way you can get around this is by performing a "show" which you just happen to invite someone who records your "show". They can then release it and no copyright infringment will take place so long as no one is trying to make money off of it. The bigger question would be though, why would you want to cover it and not make money?

  Sorry Simon but that will not be coming soon. Lots of people still buy DVD and now with the PS3 and other gaming devices serving as media centers going to Blu-Ray it is here to stay. These trends hit the adult biz first and people are still buying up DVD's like they are going out of style with porn. Give it another 7-8 years before downloads really affect the DVD market. If anything streaming will come first.
